We started our journey in 1993 as a small makeup unit in Mauritius. Today, we've grown to be a major player in the textile industry with a presence in Mauritius, Madagascar and South Africa supplying top international brands across the USA, Europe and South Africa with 15M units annually.

Our strategic location grants trade agreements which help lower your costs. And, our innovative spirit means we're always using the latest technology and methods in our production process while being respectful of the environment and those we work with.

Dixon Louis

Chief Financial Officer
Dixon joined WKL 18 years ago and has a deep understanding of our company's values, goals, and industry dynamics. He is a seasoned finance professional with more than 25 years of experience in reporting, financial operations and treasury management. He is a designated member of the Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Australia, and he holds a master’s degree in finance from the prestigious University of Paris 1 Pantheon Sorbonne. His contribution has been instrumental in the revamping of the group’s finance department.
Dixon leads the groups’ finance function including Corporate Finance, Group Treasury, Group Financial Accounts, Audit, Risk Management and Governance.
World Knits: Jitendra Bissessur - Independent Non-Executive Director

Independent Non-Executive Director
Jitendra is the Chief Executive Officer of the Mauritius Investment Corporation Ltd (MIC) since March 2021, and possesses a wealth of leadership experience.

Formerly Director of the Economic Research and Analysis and Statistics Department at the Bank of Mauritius, he also served as an economist in the IMF's African Department. Jitendra's impact extended to the Bank's Monetary Policy Committee, Statistics Board, and the IMF's Task Force on Special Purpose Entities.
Joining the Research Department of the Bank of Mauritius in 1991, he's amassed 30+ years of central banking expertise, excelling in macroeconomic policy and statistical analysis.

Beas Cheekhooree

CEO (Chief Executive Officer)
Beas Cheekhooree brings strong insights and extensive experience to World Knits group. He has a proven track record in the T&A, as well as across the manufacturing sector over the last 35 years. He is an expert in strategic planning, turnarounds, and driving growth & innovation across various industries. He is dedicated and passionate about contributing to the local and regional business communities. He has held leadership roles in various associations, including Chairman of MEXA, Board member of Business Mauritius and Council member of the Mauritius Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

Beas holds a MSc in Strategic Planning from Heriott-Watt University and a BSc in Chemical Engineering from Northeast London Polytechnic. He is currently a council member of MEXA and actively participates in the association's initiatives. He is committed to fostering a culture of excellence and efficiency and is dedicated to guiding World Knits group towards continued success and prosperity.

Roland Espitalier Noel

Head of Business Development

Roland is an accomplished leader with over 25 years of extensive experience in the textiles industry. He began his career sourcing raw materials for a major Mauritian textile manufacturer.

In 2002, Roland joined World Knits Ltd, progressing from Sales Manager to Sales and Marketing Director. He was instrumental in driving our expansion through effective sales and marketing strategies.

Now, as Head of Business Development, Roland focuses on identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities, expanding our market presence in additional regions and territories, and building key partnerships.

Yudheesha Napaul Crouche

Head of Human Capital

Following her role as Head of HR at RHT Holding Ltd, Yudheesha joined us in July 2022 as our new Head of Human Capital. With over 10 years of experience in the HR field, Yudheesha uses her expertise to oversee our talent acquisition, employee engagement, automation of HR processes, payroll digitalisation, employee relations, job profiling, job evaluation and remuneration mechanism. In addition to being an HR expert, Yudheesha has a deep love for mathematics and holds a degree in Mathematics from the University of Technology, Mauritius and recently completed her postgraduate diploma in Applied Statistics with Operational Research. Yudheesha is also a member of the MIoD.

Sourcing, Research and Development Manager

Andy is our Sourcing, Research, and Development Manager with over 20 years of experience in the textiles industry. He started as a Production Coordinator and worked his way up various merchandising and customer care roles for leading manufacturing companies in Mauritius. An adept multi-tasker, Andy thrives in fast-paced environments and can easily handle customer accounts and in-house requests, all skills he puts to use while providing technical support to our marketing and pricing teams, communicating with clients and negotiating on our behalf.

Francesca's 38 year long career in the textiles industry began when she joined General Knits as an Accounts Clerk Manager. From there, she moved to different departments and textile companies where she learned the ins and outs of many aspects of the industry. Now, she puts her experience to good use as our Compliance Manager at World Knits Ltd, where she ensures that the company is compliant with all relevant regulations and standards. Throughout her 38 years in the industry, Francesca has established herself as a daring adventurer, constantly pushing boundaries and achieving great success in her various roles.

Design and Product Development Manager
Melissa knows the world of fashion design like the back of her hand. Following a degree in Textile and Fashion design from the University of Mauritius. She spent years learning the ins and outs of the industry by working in key creative and strategic roles from Head Designer to Head of Retail, and has even lectured at Ebene's Fashion Design Institute. Today, Melissa is our Head of Design and Product Development. She keeps us up-to-date on the latest industry/global fashion trends while leading our Creative and 3D Teams.

HEAD OF GARMENT DIVISION

As our Group Production Manager, Michael plays an essential part in our processes overseeing our entire production process and guaranteeing that we stick to our assigned production schedule and budget. In addition to two post graduate degrees in Business Management and Auditing and Financial Engineering, Michael has decades of experience overseeing production capacities of textile companies across Mauritius and Madagascar.

Maryvone has a wealth of experience in the textiles industry. In 2005, Maryvone joined us as a Senior Merchandiser and demonstrated exceptional skills in managing the diverse aspects of the merchandising process, consistently ensuring smooth operations and successful outcomes. Her relentless dedication and contribution to the company's growth were recognized, leading to her appointment as the Head of Sales and Marketing in 2022. Today, Maryvone's leadership and strategic vision play a pivotal role in driving the company's sales growth and expanding its market presence. Her passion for delivering exceptional results, coupled with her ability to lead and inspire her team, makes her a valuable asset and a driving force behind our continued success.

Head of Procurement and Logistics
As our Head of Procurement and Logistics, Adrian ensures that our buying operations and logistics always run smoothly. Though his undergraduate degree from Curtin University in Perth is in Tourism Management, his career has always been within the clothing industry. Adrian was a garment merchandiser in the denim industry before starting as a Sales Representative. He then moved on to the Sales Manager Position with us, and is now, spearheading a vital element of our processes.

Vivian Masson's vast experience and expertise in the MEDTECH and textile industry are invaluable assets to our group. With a Masters in economics from the esteemed University of Paris II Assas, Vivian has held leadership positions at Alliance Spinners, Price WaterHouse, Pfizer Medical Technology Group, and Stryker Trauma and Extremities, making him a true industry expert.

Sharmila's impressive professional background includes serving as the Executive Director of CLSA Mauritius and Managing Director of Temple Corporate Services Ltd.

Vikash joined us in 2003 after gathering 23 years of experience in the Information Technology field. Starting his career as a programmer and then growing into software development, Vikash is now our group IT Manager and ensures the smooth running and efficiency of our IT infrastructure.
